I have to be honest, I’m in LOVE with Valentine’s Day. I swoon over everything romance! Chocolate kisses, candied hearts, and long-stemmed roses excite me just as much as cooking does. I know it’s silly, especially if you’re like me and having a valentine is hit or miss, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate love.
How do you feel in the grocery store during those first 2 weeks of Feb? Are huge kissable lip balloons over the top? Probably, but isn’t that what makes the feeling of Valentine’s Day so great?? I get an overwhelming sensation of emotion in my heart when I’m surrounded by everything pink and red. And when I get this feeling, my creative juices reach boiling point. At that moment, I can apply my artistic gift to food. It’s truly the little things that inspire me to whip up the most delicious of dishes. Which is why I’m so excited to share my fabulous Valentine’s Day recipes with you.
Winning flavor combinations are what make a recipe successful. A Valentine’s Day meal should excite, entice, savor, and leave our lovers wanting more. And let’s be real, there’s always room for dessert! Our valentines deserve the most satisfying experience of their lives. When a meal is complete, it should have the key ingredients of flavor, color, and texture. Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I’ve decided that each dish should have a sweet essence. But it can’t stop there. I enjoy blending separate tastes together to create one solid flavor. Kind of like how love unites two very lucky people. And what better flavor to add to sweet, than spicy! YES! It is Valentine’s Day and we are turning up the heat!! Why you ask? Cause that’s what makes it SASSY!! Sweet and spicy treats for your sweets!! Do you love it as much as I do???
